Our home groups at First Baptist Church of Kirkland are designed to effect growth in the believer’s life in three ways.

Growing Closer: Joining home groups will allow believers to meet new people and share in fellowship. As brothers and sisters in Christ, it is essential that we share our story with others in the family of Christ so that we can encourage and be encouraged by others.

Growing Out: Home groups are a great opportunity to introduce friends and the unsaved to other Christians. The topics discussed in the small groups may be just what your friends need to hear or are curious about. Joining a small group can be a great way to start inviting your friends to church to hear the gospel and get involved.

Growing Up: Taking part in a home group will challenge your spiritual growth as you dig into God’s Word and implement His truth into your life. A key element in our small groups is that each member is transformed into the image of Christ.

Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage*:  For those married 5 years or less and those couples contemplating marriage.  With 44 years of marriage, the Talburts transparently share the timeless precepts of God’s Word that establishes a marriage and home.  In an age of disposable marriage and information overload, where can couples turn for real answers that will make their relationships work?  God’s Word.  Hosted by Rob and Henriqueta Parks

Bible Reading Group:  Reading through and discussing the Bible in informal setting.  Each week we will have an assigned chapter or portion of Scripture to read – come prepared to share your observations and discuss content.  Everyone will be encouraged to select a passage for memorization and work on making God’s Word a daily and natural part of their lives.  Suitable for the new Christian, the curious, the long time Christian.  We will begin with 1 Peter, chapter one.
